About

About
I have lived in Hythe, Kent since I was born. Many of my fond childhood memories are of local days out by the seaside or family walks by the canal. Realising that beauty is on my doorstep a lot of my artwork is based on scenes of the local area, such as Fisherman's Beach in Hythe, Folkestone Harbour and Dungeness.

I studied GCSE art at secondary school, however my passion for art has always been a part of my life. During any spare time  I have always been busy drawing, painting and taking part in creative activities.

I would describe myself as a self- taught artist. My style has developed through years of  trial and error and much patience. My work has been described as detailed and aims to capture the true essence of the subject. Working now as a full time artist is a  dream come true. It is such a pleasure to turn my full attention towards my natural passion for art and creativity.

I have always been inspired by the work of others and I enjoy visiting exhibitions.
I believe there is no 'right' or 'wrong' way to create a drawing or painting. Each creation is a reflection, a personal interpretation created by the artist. Whenever I exhibit my work I feel that each piece displayed reveals a part of me.
